It’s not uncommon to end up with a new super account when you change jobs. You forget to tell your employer where you want your super paid, so you automatically end up with your super being paid into your new employer’s default super fund. 

If you start a new job, take a couple of simple steps to ensure you keep track of your super. 

1. Let your new employer know you’re with BUSSQ!

Download and complete the standard choice form or email your employer now to tell them make your SG contributions into your BUSSQ account. 

 

2. Check your insurance

Do you have enough insurance cover? Does it need to be reviewed so that you’re covered appropriately now that you have a new job? Get a quote now

 

3. Check your details are up to date 

Now is a good time to check your account to ensure your details are up to date. Do you need to change your email address now that you have a new job? Or has anything else changed which means you need to update your beneficiaries? Update your account details in MemberAccess now. 

4. Are you now self employed? Make a contribution to your account

Did you know you can claim a tax deduction for contributions you make into super up to the concessional contributions cap. Find out more.
